Hustle Fund, co-founded by Eric, is characterized by quick investment decisions and funding, having invested in over 500 startups since its establishment. The headquarters is in San Francisco with AUM over 100 million USD, focusing on Pre-seed/Seed for software-enabled startups. Additionally, they operate through the 'Angel Squad' program for angel investors, working with over 2,000 investors. Before founding Hustle Fund, he worked as an angel investor, making seed investments in companies with market capitalizations exceeding 1 billion dollars, such as Boom Supersonic and NerdWallet (IPO in 2021), and Webflow. He also supported entrepreneurs as a venture partner and EIR (Entrepreneur in Residence) at 500 Startups. Before becoming an investor, he worked for over ten years as a product leader and entrepreneur. At Instagram, he launched the company’s first advertising platform for small businesses, achieving over 500 million dollars in revenue in its first year. He also led monetization at Facebook. As an entrepreneur, he founded the social network Beat The GMAT for MBA test-takers, acquiring 3 million members from scratch without external funding. After selling the company to The Daily Mail in 2012, he served as the product management director there. He also launched the media outlet The Hustle aimed at millennials, which currently boasts over 1 million subscribers. He has been frequently featured in the media, highlighted in The New York Times, Time Magazine, Axios, and TechCrunch. Eric is a native of Detroit, Michigan. He first arrived to Silicon Valley to attend Stanford University (where he earned his BA and MA), which in turn launched his career into software and startups. He is happily married and a father to two kids.
