Elizabeth Yin

Elizabeth Yin is the co-founder and General Partner of Hustle Fund, known as an investor specializing in the pre-seed and seed stages. Hustle Fund is characterized by its rapid investment in "hilariously early" startups, having invested in over 500 companies since its founding. Based in San Francisco, she primarily supports startups in the software domain. She also promotes the democratization of startup investing, having founded "Angel Squad," a community for angel investors that has trained over 2,000 investors. Prior to founding Hustle Fund, she served as a partner at the global accelerator 500 Startups, where she managed multiple batches while engaging in seed investing and founder support. As an entrepreneur, she co-founded LaunchBit, an email advertising network for B2B SaaS companies, grew the business as CEO, and sold it to BuySellAds in 2014. As an investor, she has backed more than 500 companies to date and has an investment philosophy that places the highest priority on execution speed at the early stage. In particular, she values a team's execution and learning speed over the superiority of their ideas, and is characterized by her data-driven strategy of making many small, fast investments. She holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Leveraging her experience as both an entrepreneur and an investor, she continues to focus on expanding the startup ecosystem and nurturing the next generation of investors.
