Ann Miura-Ko
Ann Miura-Ko is a renowned early-stage investor known for her broad range of investments, from marketplaces to deep tech companies. Her track record has earned her multiple placements on the Forbes Midas List and recognition by The New York Times as one of the “Top 20 Venture Capitalists Worldwide.” She is best known as an early investor in Lyft, and has backed numerous other high-impact startups. Ann holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University, where she conducted research in mathematical modeling of cybersecurity. She currently serves as a lecturer in the School of Engineering at Stanford, teaching courses on blockchain and startup growth strategies. She also co-directs the Stanford Mayfield Fellows Program, which mentors undergraduates aspiring to become leaders in the tech industry. She is a co-founder of AllRaise, an organization dedicated to supporting the success of female investors and entrepreneurs. Ann earned her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Yale University, where she continues to be active as an alumna—serving on the School of Engineering & Applied Science Leadership Council and the university’s Investment Committee. In 2019, she was named a Yale Alumni Fellow.
