Steve Satoru Naito
Steve is the Co-Founder and CEO of Anyplace, a remote-work-focused housing platform. In 2015, shortly after graduating from university, he moved to Silicon Valley with just $5,000 to pursue his entrepreneurial dreams. Despite the language barrier, he spent a year interviewing over 100 notable figures in the tech industry and sharing their stories on a blog, building both experience and a valuable network. In 2017, after much trial and error, he launched Anyplace, an online marketplace offering fully furnished apartments and hotel rooms for monthly stays—often described as the “Airbnb for long-term remote work.” Each property is equipped with high-speed internet and dedicated workspaces, catering to remote workers and digital nomads seeking productivity-ready living environments. Since its founding, Anyplace has raised approximately $18 million in funding, including investments from prominent backers such as Jason Calacanis, an early investor in Uber. In October 2023, the company successfully closed its Series B round. He was also selected for Forbes Japan’s “30 UNDER 30” in 2018. With a bold vision of building the next globally impactful company—on par with Uber or Airbnb—he continues to push forward the growth of Anyplace.
